IT'S FRIDAY! FRIDAY! GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY!

In case you've been living under a rock, the newest viral video to hit the internet is a $2000 music video by a Bieber-worshiping preteen who can't pronounce the word 'friday' to save her life. The song is "Friday" and it's by Rebecca Black. It's by far the worst thing I've ever seen. I've seen plenty of horrible things. I saw The Room. If The Room was a music video by a 13 year old girl, "Friday" would be it.

Here's the video in case your curiosity gets the best of you:

The Video In Review...

1) Gotta catch her bus at the bus stop... are you kidding? No wonder I've been at the bus stop for hours and my rowboat hasn't arrived...
2) "Which seat can I take?"... clearly the only seat left available. Get your ass in the back seat. Gah!!
3) "Fra-ii-day, Fra-ii-day"... it's called Hooked On Phonics. Buy it.
4) "Cruisin so fast"... then why is your hair defying physics by staying still? And why are y'all sitting on the car without seat belts while cruisin down the highway?? That's just horrible parenting...
5) "Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday. Today it is Friday, Friday. We we we so excited. We so excited. We gonna have a ball today. Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards."... there are no words to describe how infuriated I am with these lyrics. I learned the days of the week already. I don't need you to teach them to me. If that's a memorization technique, then by all means, use it in the privacy of your own home or school. I don't need that. I already know.
6) Where did that black guy come from? I sincerely hope he's not on the way to the same party as those preteens. I have a friend who might like to meet you when you get there:

Why don't you have a seat...

Those are just some of my thoughts on this stupid song... and its stupid video. I'm not about to get into the singing. If Auto Tune can't make you sound decent then there is no hope for you. There. I said it.
Goodnight... and happy st. patrick's day.

Weekend!

It's officially the weekend. Yesterday we went to Southlake Town Center for dinner and window shopping. It was FREEZING! The other day at the zoo it was a little windy but it was still warm and tolerable. Today it's overcast. I hope it rains. I love when it rains and gets all dark and spooky. Dark and stormy nights are the ones I live for.

Physics time. I'll talk to y'all later!

Misery Bear

Meet my new best friend:

Writing a suicide note, there, buddy?

I don't know if you've heard about him, but his name is Misery Bear. Boy, does his life suck. I stumbled upon Misery Bear this morning while getting ready for class, and it was pretty awesome. His days go from meh, to wow that sucks, to the verge of depressive suicidal. It's also hilarious. I've got to get dressed before I go to class, so for now I'll leave you with this:

Have a great work day, everyone!

"Oh, hi, Mark!"

This weekend was pretty fun. Friday we had a birthday party for two of our friends, and we got our salsa on. The cops were called, but all they wanted was for the apartment owners to close the doors and windows so the noise wouldn't travel. We stayed for a long time and we got plenty of dancing done.

Saturday, I studied for a Chemistry exam, then we went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. After we dropped off Claire, Brianna and I went to the Landmark Theatre for a midnight showing of The Room. If you've never been to Landmark Theatre, I feel so sorry for you. It's incredible! The main theatre has sofas and giant beanbag chairs and pillows and it's so comfortable. There's also a bar/lounge and it's pretty cool.

The people in the theatre were hilarious! As always, there were the people with spoons, people with witty call-outs, drunkards who were totally excited about the movie, and the gays who sat behind us. They were so funny and it was the first time they'd seen it. They were pretty much the funniest people ever.

Well, that's the update for now. Back to Chemistry!

Getting pretty for salsa!

they've got the moves

C3PO snuck into the cantina

Chillaxing inside the theatre

Brianna in the cozy beanbag chair

Me and my solitary spoon

"Maybe you should have a girl, Mark."

"He he he he... what a story, Mark."

OH HI, DENNY!

(Snow)Plow Through

Because of all the days missed due to snow, we're desperately trying to keep up with our schedules in class. However, that's not going so well. Woah, it's gross outside. I've got a Chem II test on Monday and an Environmental Chem test on Thursday. Thuuuuuuuuuuuursdaaay. Needless to say, this weekend is going to be a fun one! Note the sarcasm.

I talked to Mommy the other day and she was talking about the Premios Lo Nuestro. It's basically a music awards show for latin artists. She was pretty much pleased with it. She did bring up her beef with other award shows:

"They thank everybody! The mom, the fans, the cat..."

Yeah, it's true, though.

It's 2:00, so I should probably have some lunch before I get super hungry.
I bought some cookies at Walmart yesterday. They brought me back to being little:

These are the most delicious cookies EVER :)
They had other Gamesa cookies, but they didn't have my ultimate favorites: Emperador cookies.

Moving along...

Here we come!
Speaking of plowing through the material, we're pretty much plowing through these next two weeks. On March 4, we get our Spring Break on until the 13th. It'll be awesome! Brianna and I are going to San Antonio then to Houston. We'll be seeing Wicked in San Antonio, and she's never seen it. I saw it over the summer, and I thought it was fabulous! Daddy wasn't quite into how girly of a musical it is. He pretty much wanted it to be over by intermission. I think he warmed up to it, eventually. However, it was pretty evident that he was kind of on the fence about it...

(Lights come on)
Daddy: Well, that was alright. Is that it? Let's see if we can beat the crowd to the parking lot.
Me: Daddy, it's only intermission... they're going to the bathroom.
Daddy: WHAT?! It's only intermission? She done defied gravity, what else could there possibly be to this musical?
(Fat person walks by)
Daddy: Look, Precious came to see the musical, too.
Mommy: NIEVES!

The Precious reference pretty much explains itself. We saw Precious, Daddy calls fat people Precious now, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Well, time to make some lunch. For serious. Before I pass out.

"I love you, L-O-V-E"

Congratulations are in order for my big brother Alejandro "Hondo" Candelaria.
Last night, Valentine's night, he proposed to his looooooooooooong-time girlfriend, Lina. She's the sweetest, most precious girl I've ever met, and I'm SO glad she's now officially part of our family :)

He proposed to her by writing out "Will You Marry Me?" with cups on a chain-link fence. It was adorable! Apparently, the tennis court where he did it was where they first got to know one another. I think it's the cutest thing ever!
